Employment Law Navigator Expanded to Address Workplace Discrimination

The Employment Law Navigator of the Louisiana Civil Legal Navigator project has been expanded to include more robust screening and content for Louisianans experiencing workplace discrimination.

Now, users can be screened for threshold qualification and get highly-curated information on state and federal workplace discrimination protections. In the application, users are asked a number of questions on the type of discrimination they experienced, the size of their employer, time since the discrimination, and other protected class questions to see what anti-discrimination remedies they might have.

Users are then directed to comprehensive procedural information on how to address their discrimination claim through the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Louisiana Human Rights Commission, and/or in a Louisiana court under state law.

The Louisiana Civil Legal Navigator is a partnership between Lagniappe Law Lab and the Louisiana Bar Foundation.
